The days have already begun to shorten.
Holding on to the last days of Summer and already thinking about fall.
Today was the first day in many that all meals were cooked inside.
My Older Brother Harry and I spent many of hours on stilts ,we had the most perfect sloped drive way and stone wall to master the art.

(almost killed Bob with some Scotch Bonnets Friday night)
I got a peak at these last week at the Kennebunk Land Trust fund raiser and I was immediately taken back.
When I was young my Dad made me a set, almost exactly like these.

Saturday: Hoisin Glazed Meat Balls
Sunday: Sausage Peppers and Onions, Fresh Local Creamed Corn, Potato Lackeys with yellow squash
snuck in.
Monday: Ravioli with Basil utter
Tuesday: Tomato Basil Burgers
Wednesday: Chicken: Choy Sum and Fried Rice
Thursday: Whole Grain Spaghetti Roasted Veggies
Friday: Cheese Burger Pizza and Dill Pickle's.
OK we never "mastered it" but we had fun!

A "Day Off" the farm
Today I planned a day off from the farm , however I was reminded there is no such thing.
We got up early did our morning chores, cleaned and fed everyone.
Quick wash and change.
Then off to Sunday service at New Life Church.
Back to the farm for breakfast, moved the bigs out of the sun and into the barn.
Quick wash and change then off to
Goat Island Light house.

a nice tour and short visit with friends then back to the farm.
Fill waters, clean stalls put night hay outside add fresh hay to racks inside.
Then a quick wash and change now off to dinner , and a hot air balloon ride, before night chores.

Inspirations
Inspired by my morning walk around my farm.
Nice cool crisp air = happy Belgians.
Gardens bursting with new growth,
and a dog that is getting healthier every day.
Just sat at the counter with a cup of coffee, and wrote out the menu.
Only need to pick up a handful of things this week, at the market have most everything else on hand.

Thursday: Mexican-Style Chicken Tortas with Tomato , Avocado & Cucumber Salad
Friday: Fair Food and Heavy Horse Pulls
Saturday: Steak & Roasted New Potato w Chives Sauteed Long Beans and Tomato
Sunday: Grilled Chicken and Arugula
Monday: Spinach, Kale, Mozzarella Ravioli Brown Butter and Sage
Tuesday: Seared Salmon -Panzanella
Wednesday: Ginger Basil Chicken
Thursday: Spiced Meat Balls
Friday: Grilled Pizza and Salad w Green Goddess Dressing
